“They have had the kind of career most bands can only dream of: songs that have been downloaded more than a billion times, 11 million records sold and thousands of fans in dozens of cities.”

Those were the words accompanying a front-page article in The New York Times last year about one of the biggest bands in Danish history.

Now that story gains a new chapter on home ground. For the first time, Danish fans can experience Michael Learns To Rock on the same scale as the arena shows that have filled halls in more than 15 countries, from Singapore to Seattle.

“We would never have dared to dream of the experiences our music has made possible outside Denmark. We count ourselves lucky every day. But although we have toured widely around the world, we have always dreamed of coming home and playing concerts on the same scale, with the same large production we use internationally. We finally have that opportunity now, and we are enormously excited,” say the band together.

Michael Learns To Rock formed in Aarhus in 1988 and have since sold more than 11 million albums and surpassed six billion streams. They are behind timeless hits including The Actor, That’s Why You Go Away, 25 Minutes and many more, making them one of Denmark’s greatest musical exports of all time.
