about

As the frontman for the critically acclaimed band Turboweekend and a solo artist, Silas has captivated audiences year after year at countless concerts on the country’s biggest stages and on national TV.

He masterfully delivers both powerful, dramatic performances as well as the most intimate ones. Additionally, he is one of Denmark's finest interpreters and translators of songs, which he demonstrated in Toppen af Poppen 2018, where he first tried his hand at Danish with versions of Søren Sko’s 'Dolphingirl' and Annika Aakjær's 'Jeg Gi'r'.

In 2020, he released his debut Danish EP titled Skygger For Solen, which GAFFA described as a "solid debut". The EP also includes his Danish translation of Jacques Brel's unforgettable ballad Ne Me Quitte Pas, which he performed at DR and TV2's tribute show for Queen Margrethe in January 2024.

Joining Silas is his friend and regular guitarist, Carl-Erik Riestra, known from the band Ginger Ninja, who also regularly plays with artists like Gangway, Malte Ebert, and Shaka Loveless.

Together, these two seasoned musicians take the stage, skillfully weaving words and melodies into an evening of intimacy and storytelling.
