In 2027, Malte Ebert will embark on his biggest tour to date. With a major arena tour through Denmark’s largest cities, he brings together the songs of the past ten years, inviting the whole country to join him for singalongs, guests, surprises and unforgettable moments.
Ten years ago, almost nobody knew who Malte Ebert was. In 2016, he appeared as Gulddreng: a mysterious, unpredictable and revolutionary figure who took Danish music by storm in record time. With a string of number-one hits, sunglasses and gold chains, and an entirely new way of playing with the role of the pop star, Gulddreng became a phenomenon that shook up both the charts and the conversation about Danish pop.
Since then, Malte Ebert has removed the mask and found his way back to himself. Today, he stands as one of his generation’s most distinctive Danish songwriters and live artists, an artist whose songs have become part of Danish people’s lives across ages, geography and generations. He has also found his own home in music, a feeling cemented by his five-star debut album Alle veje fører hjem in 2025.
It is precisely this musical journey that will now come together when Malte Ebert embarks on his biggest tour ever in 2027.
“Ten years ago, I released the first songs that Danish audiences really wanted to sing along to. Since then, more has happened than I ever dared hope. I have been Gulddreng. I have become Malte Ebert. I have written songs about love, life, my parents, for Her Majesty, about Denmark and everything in between. Best of all, I have been able to sing them with you. Now we are going to bring it all together. In 2027, I am heading out on my biggest tour ever. An arena tour across the country with songs from all ten years, with a band, guests, surprises and everything I love about putting on shows. But above all, it will be about us. About coming together across ages, cities and dialects. About singing together, laughter, goosebumps and that very special feeling when a few thousand people forget everyday life for a while and sing the same song. I have spent ten years gathering the songs. Now we are going to sing them together.”
There are now many songs to bring together. From “Kun med dig”, “Mindst ondt” and “Dét der er med livet” to “Er det mig du elsker?” and “Fortæl mig hvis du vil noget andet”, Malte Ebert has written his way into everyday Danish life with songs that can be both intimate and expansive. He has written about love, life and family, but also about Denmark and the communities we share.
He has become part of the moments when Denmark comes together. At Christmas, “Julehjertets hemmelighed” plays through the speakers. On the football terraces, “Kongen af Danmark” has taken on a life of its own, while “Kalde dem for du” was written for Queen Margrethe. In many ways, this has become Malte Ebert’s particular strength: writing pop music that embraces both the deeply personal and a sense of community and togetherness.
Musically, he has also returned to his roots. Whereas Gulddreng was a major experiment in pop culture, Malte Ebert’s songs often begin with something very simple - a guitar, a piano or a strong melody - before growing into something bigger. This has given him a musical expression that moves from intimate storytelling to grand singalong moments.
The past few years have cemented that position. In spring 2026, Malte Ebert played a completely sold-out Danish tour, and over the summer he appeared on the stages of Grøn Koncert for the first time. GAFFA awarded him five stars, highlighting him as one of Danish pop’s most complete live performers.
The songs have also shown that they do not live on stage alone. “Er det mig du elsker?” was nominated for Radio Hit of the Year at the 2026 Carl Prisen awards, while “Fortæl mig hvis du vil noget andet” was among the highest-earning Danish songs in 2025 according to Koda. That same year, Malte Ebert ranked fourth on Gramex’s list of the most-played Danish principal artists on radio.
Ten years after Gulddreng, it is therefore a different kind of pop star heading out on tour. No longer a character whose identity nobody knew, but an artist whom Danish audiences have followed, sung along with and made part of their own lives.
In 2027, it all comes together on one tour.
A series of major arena shows in Denmark’s biggest cities. Ten years of songs. A full band. Guests and surprises. And, above all, thousands of people coming together across ages, cities and dialects to sing the same songs.
Ten years ago, nobody knew who Malte Ebert was.
