Gerlach & Rosendahl repeat their late-summer success in 2025
Dorthe Gerlach and Pernille Rosendahl have formed a very special sisterly bond, which they brought to life with great success on a sold-out tour in 2024. This summer, the two set off again, repeating that success and taking their shared treasury of songs and strong friendship on the road for concert evenings across Denmark.
When Dorthe Gerlach and Pernille Rosendahl began their first joint tour in late summer 2024, it had long since sold out. Not only on opening night: from Knebel to Copenhagen, Rungsted and Gram, tickets for late-summer evenings with two of Denmark’s greatest voices were snapped up.
This summer, Gerlach & Rosendahl’s musical labour of love blossoms again as they visit no fewer than 16 venues across the country.

“The idea for our 2024 tour came first and foremost from the friendship we have developed over recent years. We simply have a bloody good time together, and it is uncomplicated. And musically, it is exciting! Two distinctive voices from different worlds do not necessarily fit together, but something magical happens when Pernille and I sing together. We have created a shared space that is new to both of us. We never dreamed of the reception we have had, and now we are even more excited about our 2025 road trip through the summer landscape,” says Dorthe Gerlach.
As last year, the 2025 tour is built around venues and settings as varied as ARKEN art museum in Ishøj, 18b in the open landscape of Harboøre, the beach at Lynæs Surfcenter and Glassalen in Tivoli, Copenhagen. The soloists are joined by their creative collaborators Michael Hartmann and Søren Vestergaard on guitar and other instruments, with musical room for both small and grand gestures.
“The very different stages and surroundings give each evening something special, whether we are in the middle of nature in Jutland or in the historic setting of Glassalen. Dorthe and I have found a rare key to unlocking a magical space with our audience. My experience is always that little miracles happen when we step on stage and the music begins. I cannot wait to travel around the country and create laughter and tears of joy as Dorthe and I spread our shared musical wings,” says Pernille Rosendahl.
Both broke through in the 2000s: one fronting one of Denmark’s most colourful and distinctive rock bands, Swan Lee, while the other captivated Danish audiences with acclaimed country pop in the duo Hush. In many ways, they are very different women, yet cut from the same cloth. Almost simultaneously, Gerlach and Rosendahl also debuted with songs of their own, each releasing a strong solo album in the mid-2010s. Both have appeared with great success on the music programme Toppen af Poppen, while they truly found one another on tour with the Danish Chamber Orchestra, where what has become a special sisterly bond in Danish music began.
