From solo to trio and into Denmark’s biggest concert halls: Calby embarks on his Trilogi Tour

Danish hitmaker Calby presents a unique touring format this autumn. Intimate solo shows will be followed by a venue tour with his popular trio, culminating in winter 2027 with a full band at DR Koncertsalen in Copenhagen and Musikhuset Aarhus.

‘The Everyday Bit’, ‘Burnout’, ‘The Million Dollar Song’ and, most recently, ‘While I Wait’ have made Calby one of the most prominent voices in the Danish charts. The Copenhagen musician’s acclaimed, modern take on classic soul and R’n’B is intimate, powerful and cinematic in scale. His upcoming tour embraces it all.

Trilogi Tour is three tours in one, marking the culmination of a journey spanning several years, inspired by life on the road and a desire to challenge himself and his audience.

“I have played solo, as a trio and with a full band over the past few years - three very different experiences of being on stage and ways of meeting and embracing the room. But all three formats have their place in my world, and I wanted to see what happens when you reach out in every direction on one long tour that develops over time,” says Calby.

He opens his Trilogi Tour in October with acoustic solo concerts for seated audiences in intimate settings, centred on his captivating voice and outstanding songwriting. During November, Calby moves into venues across Denmark and expands into a classic rock line-up of guitar, bass and drums, with the music’s pure, raw attitude delivering groove and harmony straight to the gut.

The concert series ends at DR Koncertsalen in Copenhagen and the main hall at Musikhuset Aarhus, where Calby will take a full band on stage for the first time in four years, performing his work and arrangements in their familiar, complete form.

“Just as a song takes shape, there is a natural and exciting development across this tour - a progression from the bare to the fully realised - and I love it all. That tightrope walk with the audience, where something is at stake and we catch one another,” Calby concludes.

Calby is Copenhagen musician Mik Thybo. He made his debut to glowing Danish reviews and demonstrated international stature with his 2021 album ‘Burnout’, followed by further acclaim for 2023’s ‘Inner Critic’s Choice Awards’. Calby has no fewer than six Top 10 radio hits to his name. He has also received a Carl Prisen award and been nominated for two Danish Music Awards, including New Live Act of the Year. With platinum and gold hits, his catalogue has been streamed more than 30 million times on Spotify.
