Camma comes to Pumpehuset on 25.1.25
She is the central figure in one of the most talked-about series of the moment, exploring the pursuit of fame in 2024. Now the 22-year-old Danish-Nigerian multidisciplinary artist announces her first headline show: “CAMMA - 25.1.25”.

“Camma Bliver Kendt”: the comments were ablaze when DR revealed its new series in mid-January. The deliberately provocative title prompted many to reach for their keyboards, while even more viewers have immersed themselves in the six episodes, in which a young woman explores a dream and a vision. It is a portrait of our times, when reality becomes as staged as the pictures and videos we all share on social media.
“Behind every invented character is a conscious human being. When we share ourselves on social media, there is a rush in being seen. But seeking recognition is human, just as being materialistic and superficial is human. These are traits we bring into our work, education, relationships or online lives to achieve results in our own interests, consciously or not,” says Camma. “The series is a personal but also a social experiment that many people, especially in my generation, will understand and recognise themselves in. The question is whether being famous simply for being famous makes you happy.”
Before the series premiered, Camma already had several thousand followers across her social platforms and was a firmly established rising talent. Despite her young age, her CV includes television presenter, actor, model, radio host and, not least, psychology student. But at the top of her diverse creative output is what means everything to Camma: music.
On 25.1.25, Camma will welcome audiences to her first headline show at Pumpehuset in Copenhagen.
“I am opening a club with no dress code and throwing open the doors to a concert beyond convention. ‘CAMMA - 25.1.25’ will be an evening where community is both the focus and the goal. Although I am the artist in the spotlight, I want to create a space where everyone can feel seen and heard.”
Camma has previously released a series of dreamy, R&B-inspired singles, but is currently wiping the slate clean, with new music on the way in 2024 leading up to 25.1.25: a full evening of entertainment, with a show and an afterparty in the company of an artist who is here for more than the increasingly worn-out “15 minutes”.
