EIVØR
Raw Faroese energy meets cinematic electronic sound

about
For more than twenty years, Eivør has carved out a place as one of the most remarkable and imaginative artists to emerge from the North. Growing up in the Faroe Islands, she developed a musical language shaped by rough seas, wide horizons and a strong storytelling tradition. That foundation has carried her through a career where she effortlessly moves between folk, electronic textures, classical influences and her own bold vocal expression.
Her live shows are where her world unfolds most vividly. Eivør’s voice shifts from whisper-soft to thunderous, often within the same breath, creating an emotional depth that draws audiences in whether she plays concert halls, festivals or intimate theatres. The result is a performance style that feels timeless and fiercely modern at once.
In 2024, she released "ENN", an album created together with composer Tróndur Bogason on the Faroe Islands. Much of the material was shaped in a small remote village, where the landscape and isolation opened space for a new creative direction. The album explores our bond to the earth, the tension between destruction and renewal, and the inner battles that mark us as human. Musically, it blends beat-driven production with choral colours, cinematic arrangements and moments of raw, physical vocal power.
Beyond her own records, Eivør has become known for her work in film, television and games, contributing to projects such as The Last Kingdom and God of War. These collaborations have expanded her sound without ever diluting her identity.
With her uncompromising approach and a voice that feels both ancient and immediate, Eivør continues to stand out as one of the defining Nordic artists of her era.
