Over the last decade ANYA has established herself as a key artist on the Danish pop scene. Known for her catchy pop songs with heartfelt lyrics and strong R&B and soul influences, she has now embraced her deep love for jazz and bossa nova.

ANYA's music is rooted in storytelling, and her new sound is a playful and effortless journey back to a time where music breathes freely. Her latest single, "Genfærd", offers a first glimpse of her upcoming album, "Før jeg sover." The album explores themes we all recognize, capturing life's imperfect yet beautiful moments.

"The shift to jazz/bossa inspired me with new ideas and stories I wanted to tell. I like writing about our flaws—the moments when things don’t go as planned. There’s something about the self-ironic view of the world that feels very Danish and fits these songs well. Musically, this new direction feels pure, natural, and intuitive—I just tell the story."

"Genfærd" and the rest of the album were created in collaboration with jazz virtuoso Johannes Wamberg (Tabloid, Bette, Coco O), shaping ANYA’s new sound. The songs are co-produced by Rasmus Juncker (Emma Sehested Høgh, Eee Gee), creating a warm, organic, and intimate atmosphere.

ANYA’s previous acclaimed EP, "Nøgen" (2020), featured radio hits like "Se mig nøgen," "Karens sang," and "Min Kind," solidifying her artistic identity. With her ability to merge personal and universal themes, ANYA continues to challenge herself and take listeners on new musical journeys.
