ANYA announces her first-ever Danish-language tour, featuring songs from “Nøgen” and her new album “Før jeg sover”
In autumn 2025, audiences can enter ANYA’s seductive, now Danish-language world of jazz, bossa and live-played pop as she tours the country with some of Denmark’s finest jazz musicians.
On the “Før jeg sover” tour, the singer will visit Copenhagen, Odense, Aarhus, Aalborg, Birkerød and Næstved in an organic, intimate and playful set-up with time and space for storytelling and the joy of playing.
With a string of releases over the past ten years, ANYA has established herself as an important artist on the Danish pop scene. She is known for catchy pop songs with heartfelt lyrics and strong references to R&B and soul. In her new music, however, ANYA has taken a bold step in a new direction, embracing her deep love of jazz and bossa.
Released on 5 September, Før jeg sover invites listeners into a personal, unpretentious and captivating world filled with stories in which we can all recognise ourselves. Its eight songs revolve around the things we are not always proud of: moments when we feel vulnerable, tempted, awkward or simply small in the world.
A new musical chapter
The album was created in close collaboration with jazz virtuoso Johannes Wamberg (Tabloid, Bette, Coco O) and co-producer Rasmus Juncker (Emma Sehested Høgh, Eee Gee). Both will join her on stage this autumn, on guitar and drums respectively, alongside Rasmus Sørensen on keys and Jonathan Bremer on bass. Together they create an organic world where ANYA’s familiar R&B meets new shades of jazz and bossa.
Alongside new songs such as “Genfærd” and the title track “Før jeg sover”, audiences can look forward to familiar favourites from ANYA’s acclaimed 2020 EP Nøgen, including radio hits “Se mig nøgen”, “Karens sang” and “Min Kind”.
ANYA says of the tour: “I feel really at home in a more jazz-oriented concert format, without lots of backing tracks, in-ear monitors, light shows and everything else. Where it matters more that the audience feel the music and the story than whether everything goes exactly to plan. I find that enormously liberating. And I keep pinching myself that I get to go on the road with these incredible musicians. It will be unforgettable.”
